Class 101 - Discovering Church Membership
Ephesians 2:19, You are a member of God's very own family, and you belong in God's household with every other Christian. During this exciting class, taught by the pastoral staff, people who are interested in Palm Valley Church hear what makes the church a family. The teaching covers four topics: salvation, Palm Valley Church's statement of faith, its strategy, and its structure. Participants are invited to prayerfully consider signing a membership application for Palm Valley Church. Class 101 is a requisite for serving Christ through the church.
Class 201 - Discovering the Path to Spiritual Maturity
Ephesians 4:14-15, We are not meant to remain as children but to grow up in every way into Christ. Spiritual growth is a process. In Class 201, four habits that lead to depth and maturity in Christ are outlined from Scripture: the habit of the Word, the habit of prayer, the habit of the tithe, and the habit of fellowship. The goal of Palm Valley Church is to be a spiritually mature church whose members are prepared to do the work of the ministry.
Class 301 - Discovering Ministry
Ephesians 4:11-12, It was He (God) who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. The goals for Class 301 are: to discover one's unique design that leads to developing one's God-given gifts and talents for service to God and others and to commit to serve in one or more ministries of Palm Valley Church. After each department head gives a brief overview of the department's ministry and its specific opportunities for service, the class ends with personal interaction with leaders of the church, which leads to involvement.
