As we wrapped up The Family Works series, we learned that we never retire from God’s plan in our lives.  As long as we have breath, God has a purpose for our lives, regardless of our age.  Rick’s final challenge was to finish well.  

How do we finish well?  

• We need a whole-hearted faith - not be easily swayed by our circumstances or oppositions in life.

• We need a Challenge - with God’s help we can accomplish His purpose in our lives.

• Stay connected, we need relationships - gather strength from others along the same journey.

• Pass the torch to the next generation - by leading by example, sharing our journey with our children, and others we cross path in our journey.

Make this your prayer today,

Lord, may my days be lived to exercise my faith whole-heartedly.  May I be challenged to do things You have created me for, may I be obedient in fullfilling your purpose for my life.  Even though I will face challenges, my strength is found in You.  I know I am not alone in this faith journey, You are with me.  You have also brought people along side to show me the way, help me to connect and nurture healthy relationships so that I may also pass the torch to those who follow.  Let Your purpose be fulfilled through my life until my last breath.  I commit with Your help to finish strong.  - Amen.
